Communications Section

Our 9-1-1 Communications Center handles all incoming calls for service for law enforcement and fire within the city limits. This section has established call-handling procedures for emergency and non-emergency situations. The dispatchers are certified and specially trained to obtain pertinent information and then immediately dispatch to the appropriate service needed i.e. Police, Fire or E.M.S.

If an emergency occurs within our jurisdiction, it is important to know that incoming calls from cellular phones will go to the Pasco County Dispatch Center first and are then transferred to our communications center.
