City of New Port Richey’s Beach Street Drainage Improvement Project
Published on April 10, 2025
The City of New Port Richey will begin work on drainage improvements to the Schwettman Oaks Neighborhood on Monday, April 14, 2025. The Beach Street Drainage Improvement Project will include the installation of approximately 1,750 linear feet of 36” stormwater pipe, the installation of CDS hydrodynamic separators which is a unit that is used to screen and trap trash, sediment and oil from stormwater runoff, new stormwater inlets and road reconstruction. The project boundaries span from the intersection of High St. and Maple St., east to Beach St., north to Gulf Dr. and connecting to the Pithlachascotee River. Although every effort will be made to expedite the project work, drivers should allow extra travel time in and around the affected area. Please see the map below for the specific location of the project.
Be assured that the city is committed to minimizing disruptions to travel and will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of residents, businesses, and commuters. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to complete this important infrastructure project.
