Deputy Police Chief Lauren Letona

Lauren Letona began her law enforcement career in 2002 as a sworn Police Officer for the Pinellas Park Police Department. During her tenure with Pinellas Park, she held the positions of Patrol Officer, Training Officer, Field Training Officer, Explorer Advisor, Instructor, Citizen Police Academy Coordinator, and was assigned to the Office of Professional Standards. She retired from the Pinellas Park Police Department in December 2012 and was sworn in as a Police Officer with the New Port Richey Police Department in January 2013. She was promoted to the rank of Corporal in 2015 and was the department’s training coordinator. In January of 2016, she was promoted to Lieutenant and oversaw the Administration Division. Deputy Police Chief Letona has Associates Degree in Arts and Science of Law Enforcement and a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration. In August of 2020, she was promoted to and is currently serving as the Deputy Police Chief for the City of New Port Richey.
