Garage Sale Permits & Pet Licensing

Garage Sale Permits

A garage sale permit is required for all residentially zoned properties within the city limits of New Port Richey that are having a "display of articles, new or used items, or personal property in a yard, garage, driveway, porch, patio or real estate lot in such manner that the articles are visible to the general public". This permit is also required for lawn sales, attic sales, rummage sales, patio sales, moving sales, estate sales, or any similar designation.

A Garage Sale Permit Form must be completed and returned to the Billing & Collection Division, along with the $2.00 fee per permit.  The permit is good for a period of no more than 3 consecutive days (72 hours).  If the garage sale is rained out  for the 3 consecutive days a new permit may be issued upon request. One garage sale is allowed every 6 months.

For more information please refer to the City Code regarding Yard Sale Permits..
