Firefighter Requirements
To become a New Port Richey firefighter (full time or part time), an applicant must be a Florida State certified firefighter. View the State Fire Marshal’s Office Bureau of Fire Standards and Training requirements to become a certified firefighter.
Please Note: Preference is given to firefighter/paramedics.

Applicants must complete the employment application and include copies of the following items:
- Certificate of Compliance
- EMT and/or Paramedic License
- CPR and/or ACLS Cards
- EVOC Training
- NIMS Certifications
- Current Driver License
