  • January 18th – Selection process narrowing to 10 finalists
  • January 21st – 6:30 to 9:30pm, SMARTstart Incubator 5 contestants presentation and interviews
  • January 23rd – 9:00am to noon, SMARTstart Incubator 5 contestants presentation and finalist selection
  • January 28th – 3:00 to 5:00 pm Suncoast Richey Theatre finalist competition. Winners announced at Dulcet immediately after competition.

New Port Richey Business Incentive & Grant Program:
I. Commercial Property Facade Grant
II. Business Facade Grant
III. Commercial Leasehold Improvement Grant
IV. Upper Floor Residential Grant

TARGETED BUSINESSES:
• Professional occupations, tourists, eco-tourism, empty-nesters, millennial or retired.
• Workers – business lunches, after work social, and business services
• Local & Downtown Residents – essential neighborhood services

TARGETED AREAS:
• Downtown
• Marine District – Community Hospital Area
• Highway 19 Corridor

I. COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FACADE GRANT:
• 50% of the cost of materials & professional contracted labor
• Maximum of $5,000
• Maximum of $10,000 per property that contains multiple storefronts

II. and III. BUSINESS FACADE GRANT AND LEASEHOLD IMPROVEMENT GRANT:
• 50% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $2,500
• New, expanded or relocated targeted business may receive up to 75% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $6,000
• Individual properties with more than one unit may receive more than one grant.

IV. UPPER FLOOR RESIDENTIAL GRANT:
• 50% approved projects up to $7,500 per unit

The Historic Hacienda Hotel Project Gets Underway
At its July 7, 2015 meeting, the New Port Richey City Council approved Atelier AEC's Hacienda Hotel Condition Assessment Report. An overview and recommendations for the Hacienda's renovation, plus some fascinating hotel history, can also be seen in the Atelier AEC presentation here!

New Port Richey: Thinking Toward the Future
In 2012, the City developed a Strategic Plan. This plan will enable the City to grow and expand in a planned, orderly, well-thought-out way, bringing increased quality of life to its residents and visitors.

That same year, the Community Redevelopment Agency Redevelopment Plan was adopted by the City Council. This broad-scope, far-reaching document details improvements the City desires in order to preserve its heritage, improve its appearance, and grow local businesses.
