This is an opportunity for the community and visitors to reflect on our nation’s loss and remember the victims and their families. The memorial service serves as a time for the people to unite as Americans, participate in prayer by local clergy and hear patriotic music by choral groups from local schools. There will also be a display of artwork from Pasco County students. Patriotic Music will start at 6:30 pm and the memorial service will start at 7:00 pm.

  3. Movies in the Park

Remember to bring a chair or blanket to sit on. There will be concessions available for purchase, but the movie is FREE! This event is sponsored by the New Port Richey Cultural Affairs Committee and hosted by the City of New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department.

  4. Cotee River Clean Up

    September 20, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Sims Park

Each year the Cotee River Clean Up coincides with the Coastal Clean Up to clean our waterways. We are looking for volunteers with any type of water craft such as boats, kayaks and canoes to travel the river to clean up the trash. People can meet at the Sims Park Boat Ramp at 8:00 am. The first 100 volunteers will get a free t-shirt. Cleaning supplies are available. All ages are encouraged to participate, and a volunteer lunch will be provided in Sims Park at 11 am.

  5. Play Day

    September 27, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ James E. Grey Preserve

There will be games, refreshments, and the first 150 children will receive a goodie bag. The purpose is to encourage play in the parks, which in turn creates a healthier lifestyle.
